We didn't get much 'school' work done this week. So what??? We had a lot of 'social interaction' instead ;-))

Of course, it wasn't long and a shaving cream fight began...
On Wednesday one of my very best friends visited. They emigrated to Australia in 2003 so we had almost 7 years to squeeze into 7 hours!! We talked non-stop! It felt so good to catch up with each other! I have never stopped missing Noelene:
On Friday we went to friends for some co-op activities. It was the first time we have done any co-op activities together, and at first we struggled to get the kids to calm down and do some concentrating, but I think they enjoyed it. We had a scavenger hunt for the younger kids, using alphabet cards. They drew a letter, and had to find something that started with that letter. My friend lives on a smallholding, which is a lot more exciting than our yard!!
Today we went to a birthday party, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. There were lots of party games, some of which we'd never thought of before. It was a good proof that games aren't only for younger children. At least half the kids there were teenagers, and they really had fun!
In one of the games one of the kids from each team was fitted with a shower cap, which was then covered with shaving cream. The rest of the team had to throw giant fruit loops at them, and see how many could stick (no picking up dropped loops). Daniel was on for his team:
There were three-legged races, and moms and dads were made to take part too. Guess who won?? Us! (Only just...) ( NO photos of this event. )
cool pics Aunty Felicity! How come Joanne is in the picture, and not me too??? =D Just kiddin'
ReplyDeleteIt was fun! I'm glad that I didn't get "overdosed" with shaving cream...
God bless,
Amy
So sorry Amy, I didn't do that on purpose... Next time I'll take some good ones of you. OK?
