FOR TODAY... February 15, 2010
Outside my window... Everything seems very still this morning. Grey skies, no wind.
I am thinking... of how full this week is going to be.
I am thankful... for so many things, including the nice weekend we had.
I am wearing... Pyjamas! Blue sleepshirt under my blue nightgown.
I am remembering... how each year winter surprises me. I never seem to have done my winter clothes shopping in time…
I am going... to do it before the end of March this year! (That’s a promise to myself…)
I am currently reading... Animal Farm with the children.
I am hoping... to go a little faster on our Rome theme this week.
I am hearing ... the washing machine, a car in the distance, and not much else – still so peaceful here.
On my mind... Yesterday’s sermon – about Fellowship with God.
From the learning rooms... Still doing Rome. I want to speed up the maths, both boys are almost finished their books, and I’d like to get done!
Noticing that... the garden needs some serious attention.
Pondering these words… Seen on a bumper sticker: “Christians are not perfect – just forgiven!”
From the kitchen... Haven’t a clue (but I do have some leftover Hot Cross Buns… ;-))
Around the house... Only Daniel is awake, I must go and wake the others. I MUST phone the carpet cleaners – my carpets are unbelievable..
One of my favorite things… Being alone in the morning (like now..)
Plans for the rest of the week… The usual lessons; I’m taking Eden for a skin analysis this morning, and treating her to a facial at the same time; on Thursday it’s my birthday, Daniel’s on Saturday, and Jordan’s on Sunday. Malcolm and I are going out for dinner on my birthday (Yeah!), and on Friday we’ll be joining other homeschoolers for an outing to the Pretoria Botanical Gardens.
From my picture journal... an 'action' shot of the the three-legged race at Saturday's party:
Head over to The Simple Woman's Daybook hostsite to read others' daybooks.
Thank you for stopping by and saying hello. Love the reads you have in the side bar, and the pooh bear graphic. My children all have nicknames from pooh bear, Tiger, Piglet, Pooh bear and Roo. Blessing to your day.
ReplyDeleteLove your words to ponder. Thanks for sharing about your day.
