Outside my window... Clear blue skies, sunshine which is just a tad weaker than usual (definitely a sign of autumn), and a slight breeze. None of our trees have started losing leaves yet, they’re still mainly green.
I am thinking... that I don’t feel too good… I hope it’s not flu or something.
I am thankful... oh so thankful that Jordan is sleeping through!!
I am wearing... Long denim skirt, yellow t-shirt and crocs – again!
I am remembering... Veldschool last year – I just reread Eden’s report on it, and it brought everything to mind.
I am going... to stick to my healthy eating plan this week!
I am currently reading... The Five Love Languages for Children, Book of John with the kids.
I am hoping... that the applications I made at the Department of Home Affairs last week will be processed quickly!
I am hearing ... Daniel making himself an omelette in the kitchen (at 11am!), an aeroplane passing, the dishwasher, birds, Keren talking.
On my mind… Several people needing prayer.
From the learning rooms... Still doing Rome. Daniel and Ben have both started new maths books, which is encouraging.
Noticing that... I am really unfit!!
Pondering these words… “Least said – soonest mended.” So true!
From the kitchen... I want to make some bran muffins, supper will be a chicken salad.
Around the house... My domestic helper is not here today, and I’m actually enjoying being alone. I’m still doing dejunking all over, and enjoying the feeling of lightness is brings! I want to encourage my kids to give away some old toys to those who don’t have any.
One of my favorite things… Lavender!
Plans for the rest of the week… The usual lessons; Tomorrow Eden and I have optometrist appointments for new glasses, Thursday I’ll have my last dietitian appointment, and Friday will be a co-op here. Saturday may have a birthday party in the afternoon and Eden has an orchestra concert on Sunday evening.
From my picture journal... Homeschooling at its best! Ben doing maths in the car while waiting for Daniel to finish his music lesson:

It is odd to think of y'all going into autumn while we are eagerly awaiting spring! Of course, by the time we reach August, I'll be hoping for an early fall and some relief from the heat. I hope you feel better soon! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture. We did "carschooling" yesterday, too! Explained a new math concept while driving!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture too. One of my absolute favorite things is Lavender as well. Was looking through the Young Living Catalog of Essential Oils - ahhhh - so nice. xox
ReplyDeleteI also want to thank you for being a constant supporter of my blog. I love the comments you bring. "I'm with you." xox
I do love the pic of schooling in the car...how many times have we done that!?! Ahhh the smell of Lavender ~ we have a huge lavender bush right out our front door :) can't wait for it to bloom this year! I hope your feeling better - I said a prayer for you. Blessings, EMichelle
