This week in our family:...
- We had our first good rain shower of the season (even though it didn't last too long...).
- We found three huge rain spiders in the house the day following the showers!
 |
The spider's eyes actually reflected the flash - ew!
|
- We found a scorpion in the pool!! (Dead... luckily.)
- I had a bone-density scan done - I found it quite scary, but then I'm not good at things like that...
- Took Eden and Nathan for a dental check-up - neither of them needed any fillings - YEAH!
- Nathan wrote a Music Theory exam - said it was easy.
- He also took part in his first performance with the orchestra (same one as Eden belongs to - he joined 2 weeks ago).
- I took Eden to apply for her ID book now that she's 16! (It seems like yesterday that I was filling in her birth registration - where has the time gone???)
- Only about 6 weeks of school left for this year!!
Hurrah for rain, but Big spiders!? ewww
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Nathan! Your kids must be amazingly good with their music =)
Blessings to you ♥
Oh my word those spiders are so gross! We lived in Hawaii when I was in High School and they had Cane Spiders there that were really huge. One was in our bathroom before school one morining. Ewww!
ReplyDeleteEEEEEEEWWWW!!!!!!!!!! Who took care of getting rid of the spiders?? How did you get "rid" of them? Kill them, or throw them back into the garden?
ReplyDeleteNathan captured the first two in a container and we released them in the park over the road. The first one tried to come straight home!! The third one Ben killed with a stick (I don't think he meant to actually...) He then proceeded to examine it in detail with a magnifying glass and his fingers!!! GROSS!!! But what can I say?? WE're homeschoolers!!
ReplyDeleteWe've never seen spiders that big! My kids spent a few minutes staring at the pictures! Wowza!!! EMichelle
ReplyDeleteEwwwww! We get big spiders too - NOT my favorite! But the scorpion is worse.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the ID book you mentioned? Just curious :D
Julie
It's your identity document. It's a booklet with your photo and ID number. I think they're planning to phase the book out and replace it with a card. At the application you're fingerprinted, so technically the govt now has a 'record' of you, other than just your birth.
ReplyDelete(Something like that...) ;-)
