The Simple Woman's Daybook #32

FOR TODAY... October 19, 2010

Outside my window... A HOT summer’s day (even though it’s still Spring…), bright sunshine with a few clouds in the sky.
I am thinking... of the Eastern European orphans featured on Reece’s Rainbow.
I am thankful for… the little ones that have been adopted.
I am wearing... Navy skirt with a yellow t-shirt.
I am going... to see the physiotherapist soon. My neck and shoulders are in such spasms, I’ve had headaches every day this week!
I am currently reading... The Bible , and quite a few adoption blogs: The stories of Aaron, Masha & Autumn, and Timothy to name but a few.
I am praying…for the little ones who need a forever family, including one little boy who has captured my heart.
I am hearing ... The pool pump (which is outside the window) and the kids jumping and splashing in the pool.
From the learning rooms… More on birds, exploded drawings, subtraction of fractions, multiplying by 7 and 8 and lots more… I am also strongly considering the Sonlight Curriculum for next year.
From the kitchen… Tonight – Moussaka, Thursday – Chicken, Friday – beef wraps.
Around the house... The garden…oh, the garden… (that’s a lament…) It needs sooo much work!! Actually, so does the house. Hmmmm, I need to arrange carpet cleaners.
One of my favorite things… Serving my family new, interesting meals that they actually enjoy!
Plans for the rest of the week… Music lessons on Thursday, a homeschool meeting on Friday, Eden and Nathan have a concert they’re attending on Friday evening, our Wedding Anniversary on Saturday (17 years!!)
From my picture journal… Jordan wearing someone’s swimming goggles.

  2. Happy Anniversary!!!

I'm envying you the kids playing in the pool. I think we've had our last lovely fall day for awhile - the rain has come.
