Daybook #38

FOR TODAY... March 30, 2011

Outside my window... It’s cloudy and a bit windy, but still hot! I’m hoping the clouds will bring some rain. Last night we slept under 2 duvets, so the nights are definitely getting chilly, but midday still feels like summer.

I am hearing... The tumble dryer going; Jordan is playing around me and keeps asking me to “BISS” his finger when he hurts it.

Today I... Tried to get the kids back into a school routine (the eldest 2 came back from Youth Camp yesterday), but everyone is feeling rather exhausted, and it’s not really going well. Other than that I’m just doing the usual household tasks.

Counting my Blessings... A blessed Youth Camp, pastors who care about the youth, teenagers who are living differently to the World.

I am wearing... Denim skirt with colourful shirt.

I am currently reading... My Bible (Isaiah).

From the learning rooms… Tying up week 1’s work, and starting week 2.

From the kitchen… I will be making a fruity mutton curry for supper tonight, and tomorrow is crumbed fish with mashed potatoes. Friday night we will have wraps with a chicken filling.

Around the house... It looks like nobody has any energy.....

One of my favorite things… Cheerful children... our house is lacking that a bit today.

Plans for the rest of the week… Not much – Ben is staying with my parents and will come home today or tomorrow, we’ll just be doing as much school as we can.

From my photo albums… Jordan:  "I have a spray bottle...and I know how to use it!"

  1. Great picture of Jordan!

Ahhh, the changing seasons... in reverse!

Hope your kids get their energy back and you get settled in with your new curriculum. I hear such wonderful things about Sonlight, I can't help but believe it will be a success for you :D

  2. I can't wait to get Sonlight too. I know I will also really enjoy the kids books. How on earth do you manage to get so organised with regards the family meals? I need some tips. Love to you all!
