FOR TODAY... June 30, 2010
Outside my window... It’s a lovely, sunny winter’s day. Hopefully this sunshine will last and keep the day relatively warm.
I am thinking... that it’s time to get dressed…
I am thankful for… the holidays!
I am wearing... pyjamas and a nightgown.
I am remembering... not too much at this time of the morning.
I am going... to take the kids to the Botanical Gardens for a picnic lunch with some friends today (that’s why I hope the weather holds!)
I am currently reading... The Bible.
I am hoping... to get more ‘stuff’ done before these holidays are over.
I am hearing ... Not much, the house is QUIET!
From the learning rooms… holidays… YEAH!!!
Noticing that...my children have helped so willingly in all my ‘decluttering’ efforts.
Pondering these words… Look back and thank God,

Look within and find God.
From the kitchen… Soup for supper, and a picnic lunch!
Around the house... We attacked the wendy house on Monday, threw away stacks of rubbish, donated a lot of books to Hospice, brought in some other books that the kids are ready to read now, discovered some long-lost toys… and the wendy still looks too full!! sigh
One of my favorite things… Seeing my kids enjoying books that I enjoyed when I was their age. (And probably still do!)
Plans for the rest of the week… I must do our end of month shopping tomorrow (alone… Malcolm usually comes with me on a Saturday), visitors on Saturday, not much else planned – yay! From my picture journal… When you buy Chinese takeaways - NEVER leave the containers where little people can get hold of them:

I love seeing my kiddos enjoy books that I read when I was there age too! I absolutely love what you wrote under, 'Pondering These Words...' I read over it three times :) Blessings, EMichelle
ReplyDeleteI like the new look of your blog! I, too, love for my kids to enjoy the books that I read. I plan to read Little Women with my daughter this year and I hope she loves it as much as I did.
ReplyDeleteHmm, the 'wendy house' must be like a storage shed in your yard? Yours is a much more fun name! My hubby needs a wendy house ~ he just loaded the only completed storage room with his tools ;-) (It was supposed to be "my" storage ~ ha!)
ReplyDeleteLove a new stash of books to enjoy!
And the picture ~ Is that Keren? She looks so pleased with herself =)
Hope you were able to enjoy a sunny picnic!
Yes, a wendy is a little wooden house in the yard. People use it for storage, play houses for the kids, and even servants' quarters. They range in size from very small to multiple-roomed.
ReplyDeletethe photo is of Jordan, and we didn't go to the gardens after all :-( it got too windy and we had it at our friends' house instead!
