This week has been a bit boring!
That is an understatement....
The reason? It is now two weeks that I have been without my car!
It went in for a service, and some clever mechanic broke a nut covering (or something...) on the head, so it got sent away for specialised repairs.
Charming!
No music lessons, no library, no shops, no visiting...
No shopping meant no special craft supplies, which meant no special crafts.
My poor car should be ready today!
On a more positive note, we did get a lot of the three R's done this week, and started our unit of Ancient Rome. It has really caught the boys' interest (and mine) so it looks like a fun few weeks ahead :-)
It's been cloudy this week with quite a lot of rain, and that has brought a round of colds to the family (well, the children anyway). Sore throats in summer are just somehow worse than in winter. At least in winter you can snuggle under the blankets and sleep till you feel better!
Malcolm came home early with a migraine today, so at least I had a car to do some shopping. It was good to discover that the world out there is still in one piece!

Hmmm, Malcolm's just walked past (I didn't even know he was awake). The service centre just phoned and told him that the car is still not ready, so he's going over there to see what's happening. He had this LooK on his face - maybe I should close all the doors and windows...and take cover!?!
(That was a joke...)

Somehow, being stranded is always so bothersome. Even when I don't have anywhere to go, I don't like knowing that I CAN'T go anywhere. I hope it is fixed soon! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good week, despite having no vehicle! Although, I must admit that I HATE not having the option of going out!
